PATRICK ALLEN

Licensed Acupuncturist, Doctor of Acupuncture

By a series of coincidences and fateful happenings in my life, I stumbled upon Chinese Medicine and instantly heard my calling. After completing my studies at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine, I now can say that I love what I do—healing people through acupuncture, herbal medicine, and lifestyle guidance. It is an honor to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. After completing traditional schooling at OCOM, I traveled to Nanjing, China, to study herbal medicine at different hospitals throughout the city. The most advanced research in Oriental Medicine still takes place in China, so it was an invaluable experience to learn straight from the source. I learned strategies and modalities for treatment during the program, which significantly impacted how I practice and treat patients today.

I treat everything from elbow pain to endometriosis, and I do have some focus areas. At OCOM, I was a part of a research project comparing the efficacy of Chinese herbs and acupuncture with live birth rates in women undergoing in vitro fertilization. The research clearly demonstrated that Chinese medicine is effective in the treatment of infertility. In addition to infertility treatment, I’m also experienced in treating mental health issues, issues specific to women’s health, autoimmune disorders, and pain.If you would like to know how Chinese Medicine can change your life, please contact me and let’s chat. My goal in my practice, and my life as a whole, is to help people live their best life possible.
